Privacy Policy
Pearl Inc. · Last updated: October 19, 2026
Pearl Inc. collects as little data as possible: no selling, no tracking across apps, and ads only if you choose to watch one. Here is, in plain words, what we keep, why, and for how long.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The Pearl Inc. game and the pearl-inc.app website are published by Mathys Hosin, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), 212 rue de Solférino, 59800 Lille, France, SIREN 994 477 008, the controller of your data.
For any question or request: laplateformemjh@gmail.com.
2. In short
| When | What we keep | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| You sign up to hear about the launch | Email, the phone you'll play on (optional), where your visit came from | Announce the launch, give you the sign-up skin, see which announcement worked | Up to 6 months after launch |
| You create an account in the app | Account ID, email (if you sign in with email or Apple) | Run your account | As long as your account exists |
| You play | Your game (collection, oysters, gold dust, skins, missions) | The game itself | On your iPhone only |
| You open the game, you watch an ad | Received by Google (AdMob): IP address (approximate location), device identifier, ad interactions, diagnostics | Show rewarded ads (never personalised), measure them, fight fraud | At Google, under its own rules |
| You buy in the app | Nothing about your payment: Apple handles it | — | — |
3. The pearl-inc.app website
The prototype
The playable prototype needs no account. Your browser only keeps, on your device, your language, how many trial oysters you opened, your trial collection and your cookie choice. This is never sent to us.
Audience measurement
To know how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookie and does not keep your IP address: each visit is counted anonymously, and we only see aggregate figures (page views, country, device and browser type, referring site).
Advertising cookies (X)
To see which ads on X (Twitter) bring visitors and sign-ups, we would like to use the X conversion pixel. It sets cookies and sends X the page address, your IP address, your browser type and, if you sign up, the fact that you signed up (never your email address). X processes them under its own privacy policy, including in the United States.
It only loads if you click "Accept" on the banner. If you decline, nothing is set. Your choice is kept for 6 months on your device; you can change it at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. The app does not use this pixel: site pages opened from the app never show the banner or load it.
Signing up for the launch
If you sign up, we receive your email, your optional answer about the phone you'll use, your consent, and where your visit came from (social network, campaign, page language, button clicked). We use them to email you at launch, give you the skin reserved for early sign-ups, and see which announcement worked best.
Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (unsubscribe link in the email, or by writing to us). If you are under 15, you need a parent's agreement to sign up.
The form is run by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which stores this data in the European Union.
Hosting and technical resources
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which briefly keeps technical logs (IP address, browser) for security and to run the service. To display the page, your browser also loads the font from Google Fonts (Google) and the 3D library from cdnjs (Cloudflare): these services receive your IP address.
4. The Pearl Inc. app
Your account
To play, you choose one of three ways to sign in:
- Without an account: an anonymous ID is created. It contains neither your name nor your email.
- With Apple: Apple gives us an ID and an email address. You can choose to hide your real address: Apple then gives us a relay address.
- With email: we send a 6-digit code to your address.
We use your account to recognise you, to give you the sign-up skin and, later, to bring your game to another iPhone. Legal basis: providing the game you asked for.
Accounts are run by Supabase, on servers in Ireland (European Union).
Your game
Your collection, oysters, gold dust, skins and missions are saved on your iPhone. They are not sent to us today. If we add online saving, we will update this page before turning it on.
Purchases
In-app purchases go through Apple. We never see your payment details: the app only receives Apple's signed confirmation that the purchase happened.
Advertising
The app offers to watch an ad to earn oysters, only if you choose to. These ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited).
Your consent first. When you arrive in the game, if the law requires it (as in the European Union), a Google form asks for your consent before Google uses your device for advertising (for example to store or read an identifier). You can change your mind at any time: in the app, Settings (the gear icon), then "Confidentialité des pubs" (ad privacy).
What Google receives. So that an ad is ready when you ask for one, the app prepares it in advance: Google's kit starts when you open the game, after your choice in the form, even if you never watch an ad. Google then receives your IP address (from which it infers an approximate location), a device identifier specific to the app, technical information (model, iOS version, language), your interactions with ads (shown, clicked, video watched to the end) and diagnostic data.
Why. To show ads, measure them, limit how often they repeat and fight fraud.
Never personalised ads. The app asks Google for non-personalised ads for everyone, whatever you choose in the form: they are not chosen based on your interests or on what you do in other apps, only on context (the app, the language, an approximate location). If you refuse in the form, Google may show limited ads, using the minimum data needed.
No tracking across apps. The app does not ask for Apple's tracking permission: Google has no access to your iPhone's advertising identifier (IDFA).
Legal basis: your consent, for the use of your device; our legitimate interest in funding the game, for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention. Google processes this data as an independent controller: how Google uses data from partner apps.
What we don't do
We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites, we don't sell any data, and we don't profile you ourselves. We only receive aggregate figures from Google (ads watched, revenue), never data about you.
5. Who receives your data
Only us, and the providers that help us run the service, each for its own role: Apple (Sign in with Apple, purchases), Supabase (accounts), Google (in-app ads, AdMob), Tally (sign-ups), Vercel (website hosting and audience measurement), X (website conversion pixel, only if you accept cookies), Google Fonts and Cloudflare (website display).
Some of these providers are based in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
At any time, you can access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use, object to its processing, get it in a readable format (portability), withdraw your consent, and give instructions about it after your death.
Write to us at laplateformemjh@gmail.com. We answer within one month. To delete your game account: in the app, Settings (the gear icon), then "Delete my account". The account and its data are erased right away. You can also write to us from the address linked to the account (or with the ID shown in Settings): it is then erased within 30 days.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or to the authority of your country.
7. Security
Exchanges between the app, the site and our providers are encrypted. Access to data is limited to what is needed to run the game.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. For an important change, we let you know in the app or by email.
